Ofschoon het predicaat &#8216;Accredited IATA agent&#8217; geen keurmerk is, wordt hieraan gewoonlijk wel vaak een kwaliteitsniveau ontleend. IATA agenten moeten immers aan strenge voorwaarden voldoen, zowel financieel als qua vakbekwaamheid. Aan de andere kant zijn er misschien voldoende argumenten om juist van IATA accreditatie af te zien en voor de afhandeling van uw vliegtickets of air cargo de samenwerking te zoeken met een bestaande IATA agent, een zogenaamde &#8220;consolidator&#8221;. Zij bieden uw organisatie vaak extra middelen (zoals koppelingen met meerdere reserveringssystemen) om tarief- en vluchtinformatie te raadplegen en boekingen te maken.
